Bay (8-10 miles)
Trip starts at Grand Island
Ferry Dock, west of Munising on M-28. It starts with a short open water crossing to Grand Island,
explores the island shoreline and numerous historic buildings of the island.
Lunch/snack break on the island then return.
Driving time 1 3/4 hours (quickest route: 77 to 28 to Munising).
Grand
Sable Dunes (7 miles)
Trip
starts from the beach in Grand Marais Harbor.
Travel is west along the Grand Sable Dunes to the beach at the mouth of
Sable River. A short hike can be
made to Sable Falls. Lunch/snack
break on the beach, then return to Grand Marais Harbor.
